Every Breakfast Matters: 150,000 and Counting
Thanks to your continued support, we’re thrilled to announce that Pure has now raised enough to fund 150,000 school breakfasts through our charity partner, Magic Breakfast.
Since we began our partnership, every Pure catering order has contributed directly to ending child morning hunger- turning every team meeting, event or office breakfast into something truly meaningful.
Stepping up for a good cause
Our partnership with Magic Breakfast goes beyond donations. Over the past few years, the Pure team has taken on some big challenges. from conquering the Yorkshire Three Peaks in 2023, to completing the Thames Walk in 2024, and most recently, the Pure Tour, a 25km walking challenge across all of the Pure shops in London, that pushed us (and our step counters) to the limit.
Together, these efforts have helped fund tens of thousands of additional breakfasts, ensuring more children across the UK start their day ready to learn, not hungry.
The magic of breakfast
Child morning hunger remains a serious issue in the UK, and the work Magic Breakfast does is vital.
Magic Breakfast is a registered charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. They provide nutritious breakfasts and expert support to primary, secondary, ASN/SEND schools and pupil referral units in disadvantaged areas of England and Scotland. Providing a daily school breakfast ensures that every child and young person feels included, equal and set up for success. Magic Breakfast works to be part of the solution to end child morning hunger for good through campaigning, research and advocacy work with politicians and decision-makers.
Children should be hungry to learn – not hungry for breakfast. Yet one in five children in the UK experience food insecurity. The magic behind breakfast is so much bigger than the meal itself. Working with schools in disadvantaged areas across the UK, Magic Breakfast empowers every child and young person to reach for their dreams and thrive. One breakfast at a time.
